In most cases, users have reported that their Foxtel has become stuck on a Netflix logo, a certain channel, settings, or on a screen prompting them to log into SBS On Demand. Whatever the case, this situation is frustrating. Fortunately, the solution for this issue is simple.
Try one of the following steps to fix your problem.
Reboot your Foxtel box: Rebooting clears out temporary files and resets the system's memory, which can help resolve issues caused by programs or processes that have consumed excessive memory or become stuck. Simply turn off all power, pull the power plug out of the wall socket, wait for 5 minutes, and then turn it back on.
Is your TV old? Older TVs may not receive newer channels. Anything made before 2010 may be problematic. In this case, try upgrading your TV to a newer model to see if you still experience issues with screens getting stuck.
Are you still using IQ3? You really need to replace it with an IQ4 or IQ5, as outdated Foxtel boxes have many problems including Lack of Support and Updates, Compatibility Issues, and software bugs and glitches. Many users have found that newer boxes have fewer problems compared to the old ones.
some Foxtel users are stuck on a message as shown in the image below, that "to watch this channel you must be logged into SBS on demand" For this case you'll need to Go to apps in the top menu and select SBS on demand to log in or simply use a voice command say SBS on demand.
if you don't want to use the app The quickest way to fix this problem is to change the channel source to something other than SBSIP, and do this via the Settings-->Local Channels-->Local Channel Sources menu. Any channel with the letters IP next to the channel name (check them all) if changed to another option will become accessible.
if you have tried all the steps we have provided and you still face the foxtel stuck-on-screen issue then contact Foxtel and they should tell you what is the problem.
