Latest news so far about teacher recruitment:
Zambia reports: hundreds of teacher applications were disqualified on account of having been obtained from unregistered training institutions. As teacher recruitment progresses, it's regrettable that hundreds of applicants obtained their qualifications from unregistered higher education institutions. This equates to 3-4 years of wasted time and resources, resulting in automatic disqualification for these applicants.
To safeguard your educational investment, always ensure that you study in higher education institutions registered and recognized by the Higher Education Authority. Additionally, starting in January 2024, all certificates issued to graduates must feature the Higher Education Authority's Seal. This requirement not only aims to combat the widespread falsification of school credentials (referred to as the Matero Industry) but also to provide stakeholders with assurance regarding the authenticity of the institution and its academic programs.
