NSFAS 2024: Supporting documents and closing date

Having the correct supporting documents is crucial to ensure that NSFAS processes your funding application promptly for your registration at a higher learning institution. Go through the list of required NSFAS supporting documents below and make sure you have all of them before commencing the application process.

Required Supporting documents for the 2024 NSFAS Application 

• Valid South African ID number of the applicant
• Valid South African ID number for parents, guardians, or spouse
• income information where applicable

Other documents that may be required if applicable

• Retrenchment letter
• Death certificates
• Divorce Decree
• Proof of legal Guardianship
• Marriage certificate

Students with disabilities must provide: A completed and signed Disability Annexure form 

Students who have indicated no Family member details Must provide a declaration form

Note: No affidavits or copy of driver's license will be required as proof of ID.
